So Dope is a PhD project within the Brain & Cognition department at the university of Amsterdam. The aim is to understand the role of the dopaminergic system in social reward processing, which is potentially dampened by lowered dopamine levels. With our results we hope to shed light on the neurological underpinnings of reinforcement learning and decision making, ultimately leading to a better understanding of cognitive challenges in people with dopamine dysfunction, such as Parkinson's Disease.
